The 24 year old Phillip A., a former rock music fan, has been into electronic music since 1997. At the time, he was inspired by the mentors of Speed Garage; Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Double 99 and Loop da Loop.

In the following year, encouraged by DJ and friend Vitor Lima, he started to play at house parties, and the choice of style was House Music. In the year of 2000 Phillip travelled to the USA, where he lived for a year and a half in Minneapolis and Miami. He brought back a case full of new tunes, a lot of knowledge and experience.

He soon started playing in many events like Heineken Thirst 2004 (0.0-Rio de Janeiro), Heineken Green Session (D-Edge-SP, PrivillegeBuzios,0.0-Rio de Janeiro), Skol Beats 2003 (Tenda “Lov.e por São Paulo), Party Cruiser @ Island Escape Ship (Santos e Búzios).

And also in many clubs like Lov.e Club (SP), Manga Rosa (SP), D-Edge (SP), Na Sala (Belo Horizonte-MG), Garage (Campo Grande-MS), Lounge Beach (Fortaleza-CE), Club Vibe (Curitiba-PR), Hyatt Hotel, Anzu Club (Itu-SP), Privillege (Búzios-RJ), 0.0 (Rio de Janeiro-RJ), Hotel Unique (SP) , Tozen (Campo Grande-MS) The Fridge (London-UK), Seone (London-UK), amongst others, have played in many brazilian states; SP / RJ / MG / SC / MT / GO / CE / MS / PR / DF . He also produced mixed soundtracks for fashion shows for the Diesel and Slam griffes.

Phillip A. has also taken part in many radio shows like Transtronic at Radio Transamerica , Na Balada at Joven Pan Radio , Clubtronic and Comando 97 at Energia97 Radio. He has played alongside djs like , Richie Hawtin (M_nus/Canadá), Funk D’Void (Soma/Scotland), Adam Beyer (Sweden), Marco Beiley (MB Rec./Belgium), Christian Smith (Sweden), Mike Redina (NRGFlow-UK), Morgz and Reminiscence (NRGFlow-UK) amongst others. During his sets he manages to incorporate many styles of House Music like Electro-House, Disco Punk, Minimal, New WaveHouse and Electro Clash.

In 2002, after taking part in the Lov.e Club & Lounge/Red Bull dj championship , he won the first prize, running along another 110 DJs from many different styles of music. Being the champion meant he would take part in many events related to that club.

In 2003, another great victory. He was the winner of the most prestigious award of the Brazilian electronic music scene; "Melhores da Noite Ilustrada" promoted by the newspaper "Folha de Sao Paulo" and by the columnist Erika Palomino. The award of "Best New DJ" opened many doors to him, witch meant sharing bookings with some of the best Brazilian and international djs.

Nowadays Phillip is on the cast at Smartbiz dj agency, and is also listed as one of the Heineken djs after having taken part on the Heineken Thirst festival in 2004.

Also in 2005 he took on a new career move, now as a producer for 2 projects “Flying Tits” with Pejota and with Emerson "Emmo" Martins they formed "MARGINAL'S", a project that incorporates and blends many styles of House Music like , Electrohouse and Disco-Punk!

Along side Pejota Phillip also runs a monthly night called Flavourama in a trendy up town Bar (8bar, Sao Paulo). The night has been running for over one year, with all kinds of new underground house music and electro beats every month this night is continuing to grow rapidly.

At the end of 2005 we saw Phillip join forces with DJ Vitor Lima as they worked together in a new project mixing with four turntables at the same time creating a unique atmosphere for the clubbers. They would incorporate styles ranging from house music, electro, minimal, tech house and classics. Working together they use the guise Pocket Rocket.



In July 2006 the doors opened for Phillip when he was invited to play in UK London for his first debut in Europe. His first night was at the legendry club SEone under the arches at London Bridge. The night was promoted and run by Antiworld alongside Never Enough promotions. The week after we saw Phillip playing at Logic 7th Birthday at again one of Londons top clubs The Fridge in Brixton. He also played at other various clubs during his 3 week tour in London. With the tour being a complete success we are surely going to see Phillip back in Europe for July 2007!!
